How To Lose 15 Pounds and Beat Menopause Weight Gain

Today, I’m sharing an inspiring conversation with my client, Colleen, who joined my Blast the Belly Fat Bootcamp and transformed her health. She lost 15 pounds, reduced her menopause belly fat, and, more importantly, regained her energy and confidence—all while homeschooling and welcoming a new grandbaby!

 

Why Colleen Joined the Bootcamp to Lose Weight During Menopause

Colleen had been considering working with a coach for 8 to 10 years but never made the leap. Like so many midlife women, she was trying to figure things out on her own, but menopause weight gain and lack of accountability made it challenging.

Her biggest challenge? Staying consistent. Her family wasn’t on board with her weight loss efforts, and she felt like she was pushing through alone.

Then, a life-changing moment happened—her first grandbaby was on the way. That was her wake-up call. She wanted to be the active, energetic grandmother who could get on the floor and play without feeling out of breath. That motivation pushed her to finally take action and join my Blast the Belly Fat Bootcamp to lose weight during menopause.

Breaking Free from Common Menopause Weight Gain Mistakes

Like many women I coach, Colleen realized she had been making some common mistakes before the program:

đźš« Not Enough E MealsShe avoided E meals (healthy carbs) out of fear they wouldn’t be filling, but in reality, they helped her burn fat.

đźš« Too Many Heavy S Meals – She thought she was following the plan correctly but was actually stuck in a deep S rut, which can stall fat loss.

đźš« Not Enough Protein – She was consistently 10-15 grams short of her daily protein goal, which slowed her metabolism and made weight loss harder.

Once she started fueling properly, her body responded—and the weight started coming off.

 

The Results: Losing Belly Fat and Gaining Confidence in Menopause

At the end of the 8-week Bootcamp, Colleen had incredible victories:

  • Lost 15 pounds 
  • Clothes fit better – Her 2X shirts were getting tight before, and now they fit comfortably.
  • Less belly fat – She noticed a visible reduction in her stomach area.
  • More energy & confidence – She can now play with her 6-year-old and grandbaby without feeling exhausted.

 

Colleen’s Advice for Losing Weight During Menopause

“Just jump in and try it. What’s the worst that could happen? You lose weight!”
